I love clever and/or ridiculous uses of philosophy and literature in a humorous way. Obviously it was Monty Python that mainstreamed the practice with bit such as: the Philosopher's Football Match (mentioned here before), Communist Quiz sketch, and the Summarize Proust competition.
Those skits really used the personalities for comedic effect and didn't trade so much on being humorous with their ideas. The election ads show some serious creativity in that direction. More of this please!
