Yes, I was able to get Lucy Lawless of PEL fame to sing on a new Mark Lint PEL song: "The Other," which you'll hear at the end of our episode 203, since, you know, women are scary with all that threat of re-absorbing you into your Mother's womb, according to Kristeva (sort of). My direction to her was to sing it like a succubus (thus my choice of this rather old picture) or maybe like Tom Jones, though she maybe sounds way more like Melisa Etheridge. In any case, she sounds awesome.
This is just one of the many songs you can read more about and listen to at patreon.com/marklint, where I'm posting the mixes over the next week or two. Perhaps the best of these is "1984," written for our episode on that but not completed nearly in time. There's also the pretentiously titled "The State of Modern Man," which is much more fun than it sounds.
It's certainly not too late for you to contribute to the production of this album, and it would definitely be very welcome. Anyone who reads this and contributes $50 (use the donate button on this page for one-time donations) will have earned a full-hour discussion about philosophy and/or music over Internet chat or phone with me. You can alternately sign-on for a per-song contribution… there will only be another six songs to go up, so by pledging merely $1 per, you're not going to break the bank and will be encouraging additional song production going forward. You can do that right there at patreon.com/marklint. If enough contributions come in, CDs will be manufactured, hopefully in time for the holidays!
