NEM#161: Chuck Prophet Is On the Couch

Chuck joined Green on Red as guitarist in 1985 and has released 15 solo albums of tuneful guitar rock since 1990, touring constantly and doing a lot of co-writing.

We discuss "Womankind" from The Land That Time Forgot (2020), "Your Skin" from Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins (2017), "Castro Halloween" from Temple Beautiful (2012, the extended single version). We conclude by listening to "Wish Me Luck" from Night Surfer(2014). Intro: "Summertime Thing" from No Other Love (2002). For more see chuckprophet.com.

Another song from The Land That Time Forgot is "Marathon," which has a video. Watch a full live show from 2018. Hear all of "Summertime Thing." Here's "Wish Me Luck" live. Watch a live Green on Red 2006 reunion show, and here they are back in 1986.

We talk a little about his co-writing with Alejandro Escovedo that's been discussed on NEM#60. I've had two other Green on Red members on the show: Dan Stuart and Chris Cacavas.
