We talk about the novel Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy with Nathan Hanks, Jordan Payne, and special guest Dylan Casey from the Partially Examined Life Podcast. This origin/zero-episode is taken from an older (2013) recording of the Philosophical Fiction group, before our current group of readers got together.
Worth Mentioning: No Country for Old Men/The Crossing/Cities of the Plain by Cormac McCarthy, and Paradise Lost by John Milton, PEL ep. #63: No Country for Old Men.
Thanks to Christopher Nolen for music.

Doesn’t matter if you have an advantage on a man… Even a significant one… If you are afraid enough.. If you don’t feel powerful enough, you will not capitalize on it…
It seems like the judge may represent an almost Schopenhauerian ”strife” that is universal and atemporal.
Though the ending is uncertain, to me it seems a finish with a tortured whimper at the whim of self contained Chaos.
